I grew up in Wisconsin and got my BS in mechanical engineering and BS in biology from University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Currently I am a PhD student in the Biosystems Engineering program, advised by Dr. Yoon and Dr. Hurwitz. For my research I will apply biosensing technology to study the soil microbiome and detect environmental toxins like microplastics and PFAS.
