I am a microbiology PhD student at the University of Arizona, working in Dr. Kerry Cooper's lab in the school of Animal and Comparative Biomedical Sciences. I am originally from Gilbert, Arizona, but grew up in Bangkok, Thailand, and moved to Tucson to complete my undergrad degree in microbiology at the U of A before starting graduate school in 2023. Much of my research involves sequencing and analyzing microbiome samples from a variety of sources, and my main research project looks at the connection between long Covid and gastrointestinal disorders, specifically looking at the gut microbiome, serum proteomics, and the host's immune response to their gut microbiome.
