I am a doctoral candidate in the University of Arizona's Higher Education department with a previous background in clinical laboratory medicine. My current work is centered on the intersections of culture, medicine, and science. I explore institutions from the perspective of diverse learners using qualitative research methodologies with innovative arts and humanities-based methods to interrogate these perspectives.

I hold a BA in Spanish from Benedictine University and a MEd in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from Northern Arizona University. My current research explores how cultural backgrounds, including country of origin, impacts learner experiences through a variety of institutional frameworks. I will approach my BRIDGES fellowship research, led by Dr. Jennifer Croissant, through the cultures of science approach to interrogate the benefits and challenges of interdisciplinary practices and approaches to knowledge formation within subdisciplines.

I am a staunch proponent of international and interdisciplinary research and education blending traditional research methods with innovative arts and humanities-based approaches to medical and STEM education.
